Information we collect
Account information: email and password (for sign-in)
Profile information: display name and profile photo you choose
Messages: chat content you send to other users
Friends / connections: people you add or connect with in the App
Device information needed for features: Bluetooth identifiers used only to find nearby users while the App is open; push notification device token (so we can send message alerts)
Technical data: basic app/service logs needed to run and secure the service (via our cloud provider)

How information is shared
Other users can see your profile name/photo when you appear nearby or in friends/chat. Message recipients can see messages you send them.
We use Supabase (cloud infrastructure) to store and process account, profile, message, and related data. We do not sell your personal information.
Permissions
Bluetooth: to discover nearby users while the App is open
Photos: to set your profile picture
Notifications: to alert you about new messages
Data retention
We keep your account and related data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us (see below). Some data may remain for a limited time in backups or as required by law.
Children’s privacy
AtFirst is not intended for children under 17 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Update or remove your profile photo/name in the App
Turn off notifications in iOS Settings
